Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and energetic Cook to join our Red Rooster kitchen team. The role involves preparing and cooking menu items to brand standards, ensuring food safety, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and delivering fast, quality service during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and assemble Red Rooster menu items (chicken, burgers, sides, meals, etc.)
Follow food preparation procedures, cooking times, and portion guidelines
Ensure all food meets company quality, taste, and presentation standards
Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, ovens, and warmers safely
Monitor food temperatures, freshness, and stock rotation (FIFO)
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen work area
Adhere to Red Rooster food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing food deliveries
Support team members during busy service and work cooperatively under pressure
Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor / Store Manager

Skills & Requirements

Experience in fast food, commercial kitchen, or food prep (preferred but not required)
Understanding of basic food safety & handling practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills
Physically able to stand for long hours and perform kitchen tasks
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, or rotating shifts
Must follow Red Rooster uniform, grooming, and brand standards
